Couldn't agree more! I'm just getting back into strength training after doing little more than the treadmill as one of many ways to deal with osteoporosis.

My daughter-in-law is my personal fitness trainer, and she's given me great written instructions to follow. They work. When I had been doing strength training for some months, I felt better than I had in my entire life. Not only full of energy, but I had better balance.

I'm anxious to get back into it and stay. It's not easy, because while I don't HATE it, I can find a lot of other things to do first. But being fit is so important, and it's something I have to do on my own.

Thanks for the great article! And now, back to my weights (actually, I'm going to Applebee's for dinner).
